Issue an invoice
From draft to issued invoice, the difference between an invoice and a simplified invoice, and what NaPa does when you issue.
In Invoices, press New invoice.
- Choose the type: Invoice (with the customer's details) or Simplified invoice (no identified customer, up to €400 including VAT).
- Choose the customer and add the lines: description, quantity, price and each line's VAT (or the exemption reason). If the customer applies IRPF withholding to you, set it on the line.
- NaPa works out the base, the VAT, the withholding and the total. You can Save draft and carry on later.
- Press Issue. If you don't set a date, it's issued with today's.
What happens when you issue
- The invoice gets the next number in its series, with no gaps.
- It's frozen: it can no longer be edited. To fix it, issue a corrective invoice or, if it was issued by mistake, cancel it.
- NaPa creates its journal entry and records its VAT in the VAT register, which feeds Form 303.
- With VERI*FACTU, it sends its record to the AEAT (what is sent).
You can't issue with a date in a closed period.
