Correct an invoice

How to fix an issued invoice with a corrective invoice for the differences, and when cancelling is better.

An issued invoice is never edited. If it needs fixing, you issue a corrective invoice, which refers to it and contains only the differences.

  1. On the invoice, press Correct.
  2. Enter only what changes. Negative quantities reduce: for example, a €100 discount is a line with quantity −1 and price 100.
  3. Give the reason and press Issue corrective invoice.

The corrective invoice has its own number, its own journal entry (with the amounts reversed when it reduces) and its own record at the AEAT. The original invoice doesn't change, and what the customer owes you is adjusted.
