Register your company
The details NaPa asks for when you create the company, what VERI*FACTU means and why you authorise NaPa to send your records to the AEAT.
When you create the company, NaPa asks for:
- Legal name and tax ID (NIF). The NIF can't be changed once the first invoice is issued or the first journal entry is posted.
- Registered address. It's needed to issue full invoices. You can change it later in Company; invoices already issued keep the address they were issued with.
- Fiscal year start and chart of accounts: the PGC for SMEs, unless you need the full PGC.
- Invoicing system. With VERI*FACTU, NaPa sends the AEAT the record of each invoice as soon as it's issued. Without VERI*FACTU, the records are signed and kept, and only sent if the AEAT asks for them.
The authorisation to NaPa
To send your records to the AEAT, NaPa needs your authorisation: the person signing (their name and tax ID) authorises NaPa to generate, sign and send the company's invoicing records on its behalf. It's kept with its date.
Next
What usually comes next is adding your customers, issuing your first invoice and inviting your accounting firm. The company's home shows these first steps.
