Collect by direct debit

Your customers' SEPA mandates, how to make a direct-debit remittance for your bank and what happens with returned debits.

To collect by direct debit, each customer must have signed a SEPA mandate, and NaPa must know it.

Mandates

In Customers, press SEPA mandates on the customer and record the one they signed: the signature date, their IBAN and the scheme, CORE or B2B (companies only). NaPa makes the reference if you don't type one. A new mandate replaces the previous one; they aren't edited, and if the customer revokes it, press Revoke mandate and give the reason.

The remittance

  1. In Invoices › Remittances, press New remittance and choose the bank account and the collection date.
  2. Tick the invoices to collect. Each remittance carries one scheme only; invoices of customers with no mandate can't be ticked.
  3. Create the remittance and upload the file (Cuaderno 19.14) in online banking.

Creating the remittance posts nothing. When the credit appears on the statement and you reconcile it, NaPa suggests the remittance's invoices and they're collected.

Returned debits

If the customer's bank sends a debit back, reconcile its charge as Returned debits: the invoice is to collect again.

A mandate unused for 36 months is no longer valid: ask the customer to sign another.
